Throughout my career, I have prioritized the cultivation of deep, sustainable partnerships between museums and the K–12 community. By identifying strategic intersections between a museum’s mission and district-level priorities, I specialize in building the bridges that transform the museums content into essential classroom resources, both locally and on a national scale. I've written curriculum publications, designed teacher professional development workshops, seminars and institutes, published case studies, and presented best practices at national and international conferences.

I engineered a high-stakes, case-based simulation that transforms students into intelligence analysts during the Cuban Missile Crisis. By synthesizing archival primary documents and historical photography into a cohesive narrative, I created an immersive learning environment that prioritizes critical thinking and evidence-based decision-making. This exists as a free downloadable publication that teachers can use in thier classroom, a facilitated experience at the Museum and a virtual fieldtrip. Associated teacher professional development provided historical context and pedagogical tools.

Developed a primary-source curriculum leveraging the declassified ‘Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US’ brief. Strengthened student analytical skills by evaluating the intersection of intelligence, executive decision-making, and historical accountability in modern U.S. history.

KID Museum is dedicated to community engagement through equity and inclusion. As the Museum marks its 10th anniversary, we are able to distill our best practices in forming deep learning partnerships within our school district and now regionally and nationally. The Museum’s approach has always been to see schools, teachers and administrators as partners in developing impactful educational experiences that support students and teachers through a ladder of engagement, deepening that partnership every step of the way. This session will break down KID Museum’s approach to engagement from program design & delivery models to unique administrative and fundraising practices. All of which have successfully led to deep, year over year partnership, multi-visit and data-driven impact.
As Chief Program Officer at KID Museum, I spearheaded the strategic vision and operational execution of this premier professional development initiative. I was responsible for aligning the fellowship’s curriculum with emerging educational trends, ensuring that our cohorts were equipped to integrate maker learning pedagogy into their classrooms. I supported my team in scaling the program’s impact, fostering a robust network of teacher-leaders dedicated to innovating high quality approaches to student engagement.
